Explore the stunning snow-clad mountain ranges of the mighty Himalayas and enjoy the breathtaking views en route to Rohtang Pass.

Rohtang Pass lies approximately 36 km away from Manali via the Leh Manali highway and 62 km away via NH3 & Leh Manali highway (through the Atal tunnel). It is a part of the Pir Pranjal range of the majestic Himalayas. It is situated at a height of 3978 meters above sea level and lies between the Kullu and Spiti valleys.

The sad truth is that the name Rohtang means Pile of dead bodies probably derived from the fact that many people died crossing this pass in the olden days. Although today it’s relatively easy to travel to Rohtang Pass the journey to Rohtang Pass is not for the faint-hearted.  The trip on the single-lane road with the view of mighty mountains on one side and the deep valley on the other end feels spine-chilling and electrifying at the same time.
